Salary Information - $1,123 per Equivalent Credit Hour (ECH)

Job Summary
- Adjunct Welding Instructor to start as soon as possible. Days and times to be determined.

Essential Functions
- Teaches assigned courses in accordance with course competencies and syllabi. Develops and/or utilizes a variety of instructional strategies, techniques and delivery methods designed to meet the individual learning styles of students. Fosters a safe and civil learning environment. Informs students about course requirements, evaluation procedures, and attendance policies. Monitors, evaluates, and documents student attendance, progress and competency attainment.

Required Qualifications
- Must meet at least one of the following qualifications:
Bachelor's or graduate degree in welding or related area of study or occupational area, or possess a bachelor's degree in any area if at least 18 credit hours were completed in welding. Associate's degree in welding and at least 3,000 hours (1.5 years) of recent and relevant work experience in welding. Welding diploma or special training in welding and at least 6,000 hours (3 years) of recent and relevant work experience in welding.

Teaching in the content area can be considered as no more than 3,000 hours if the instructor is a licensed practitioner who holds a career and technical endorsement under Iowa Code chapter 256. All applicants must pass a hands-on welding test administered by an approved welding instructor. Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain a professional working relationship with a wide variety of individuals coming from varied backgrounds.
