Certified Substitute Teacher
The Adel DeSoto Minburn Community School District is seeking certified substitutes interested in substituting for the 2026-27 school year. We have five buildings where you may choose to substitute:
Adel Elementary (Preschool - 1st Grade), Meadow View Elementary (2nd - 4th Grade), DeSoto Intermediate (5th - 6th Grade), Middle School (7th - 8th Grade), and High School (9th - 12th Grade). Essential functions include delivering the elementary school curriculum consistent with school district goals and objectives and promoting a classroom environment that is safe and conducive to individualized and small group instruction, and student learning.
This position reports to the building principal or designee at the location to which they are assigned. Requirements include an associate's degree or 60 semester hours through a college or university (must provide official transcript) and a current Iowa License (teaching license, substitute license, or substitute authorization license).
