Classroom Associate

St. Anthony Catholic School is seeking a dynamic Associate/Para educator to support teachers in the educational setting by assisting with instructional activities, managing classroom behavior, and providing individualized attention to students. This role is essential in fostering a positive learning environment and ensuring that all students achieve their academic and social goals.

This position is scheduled for the  school year and does not work in the summers or over school breaks.

• Assist teachers in the delivery of lesson plans and instructional materials.
• Provide one‑on‑one or small group tutoring to reinforce concepts taught in class.
• Support the teacher in maintaining a positive classroom environment conducive to learning.
• Monitor student behavior and implement strategies to promote positive behavior.
• Assist with classroom organization and cleanliness.
• Ensure students’ safety and well‑being.
• Encourage students’ independence and self‑advocacy skills.

• High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred).
• Experience working with children, especially in an educational setting.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and staff.
• Patience, empathy, and genuine interest in supporting student learning.

• Position requires work in a classroom environment, occasional outdoor activities, standing for long periods, and lifting or moving educational materials.
