Hiring Specifications:
- Valid Iowa teaching license (Strat II:BD or Strat II:) AND Work Experience Coordinator endorsement.
- Demonstrate effectiveness in oral and written communication.

Responsible for planning and delivering a high-quality educational program to meet children’s academic, social‑emotional, and behavioral needs. The special education teacher partners with the guardian and support team to develop, implement, and monitor the student Individual Education Plan (IEP).
Essential Functions- Deliver daily lessons aligned to state and district standards that meet students’ individual needs and ensure growth.
- Establish and maintain student behavior standards needed to achieve learning.
- Participate in building and district professional learning communities to plan instruction, analyze data, and create assessments.
- Collaborate with colleagues to make accommodations to instruction and curriculum for students with IEPs.
- Monitor student learning daily using multiple data points to guide and individualize instruction.
- Communicate regularly with families.
- Participate in professional development.
- Demonstrate consistent progress on meeting the eight Iowa Teaching Standards.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Attend work promptly and regularly.
- Maintain satisfactory relationships with staff, students, and families.
- Assist with duties needed to maintain a safe and orderly school.

SalaryFrom $50,569 to $83,640 per year.
