Job Overview
We are seeking a highly creative and motivated engineer with 6+ years of experience in municipal and water resources to lead project design and a small team. The role involves production and modification of design calculations, technical reports, engineering plans, and specifications for assigned projects, in close collaboration with the project manager to research, develop, and deliver design solutions.
Responsibilities- Plan and distribute discipline‑specific work, ensuring adherence to schedule and budget.
- Assist in marketing responsibilities, including proposal generation.
- Help develop scope of work and level of effort for projects within the discipline.
- Oversee completeness and accuracy of the project team’s work within the technical discipline, guiding and mentoring the team toward overall project objectives.
- Coordinate technical aspects of the project with client counterparts and teaming partners at staff level for work within the discipline.
- Work closely with other disciplines on multi‑discipline projects.
- Recruit, hire, develop, and retain staff, including developing staff reporting plans, performance and compensation reviews, and succession planning; coordinate schedules and approve timecards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 6 years of relevant experience.
- Master’s degree in Engineering and 5 years of relevant experience.
- PhD in Engineering and 4 years of relevant experience.
- Understand the impacts of decisions on technical design and work planning.
- Coordinate work planning and design effectively across multiple technical disciplines.
- Prepare high‑quality deliverables that are on time, within budget, and scope.
- Master’s degree in Engineering.
- 8 years of relevant experience.
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
