What You Will Do:

Create and qualify Procedure Qualification Records (PQR), Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), and Welder Performance Qualification Records (WPQR) per AWS, ASME, and other industry standards
Implement process improvements to enhance safety, quality, and efficiency, including supporting robotic welding integration
Provide technical guidance on joint design, welder accessibility, weld distortion, and defect prevention
Conduct Engineering Drawing Reviews (EDR) and recommend changes to improve manufacturing outcomes
Develop training programs for welding operators and Quality Assurance personnel, ensuring proper weld inspection procedures
Enforce safety regulations and proactively address hazards while adhering to company and regulatory standards

What You Will Need To Be Successful:

Bachelor's degree in welding engineering, materials engineering, metallurgical engineering, manufacturing engineering, or equivalent career experience
Expertise in Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW), metallurgy, and industry welding codes (AWS D1.1, AWS D14.3)
Hands-on experience with robotic welding systems, including specification, implementation, and programming
Relevant AWS certifications, such as Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) or Certified Welding Engineer (CWE).
