Civil Engineer
AECOM is currently seeking talented Civil Engineer with experience in either site, roadway, municipal or airports. Also a background in lighting/signage installation, navigational aids, drainage improvements, utility relocation / protection, and pavement rehabilitation) to join our team in Des Moines, Iowa. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Developing civil airfield design, municipal projects, site design and construction improvement documents
- Coordinating with planning and design team members, contractors, and sub-consultants for ongoing planning, design, and construction projects
- Performing civil design, planning, construction support, and client management services for General Aviation and Commercial Air Service Airports
- Plan, direct and monitor all aspects of engineering and municipal projects including runways, taxiways, aprons, drainage improvements, utility relocation and protection, and pavement rehabilitation
- Will be involved with projects from start to completion including planning, design, and construction administration, including grading, drainage, pavement design, specifications, and construction safety plans
- Collaborating and/or coordinating delivery teams consisting of multi-discipline design engineers and technicians
- AutoCAD or Micro Station 3D modeling mentoring
- Supervise, coordinated, and production of several projects concurrently.
- Establishes positive client relationships
- Coordinate with clients, funding agencies, state aviation officials, FAA, and local permit Agencies
- Includes regular site visits during the design and construction phases of improvement projects throughout the United States
Minimum Requirements:
- BA/BS + 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D Design or Open Roads Designer
- Experience with civil site development or airfield design and construction
- EI or PE, preferably State of Iowa
- Relocation is available for this position
