Civil Engineer

Job Description

AECOM is currently seeking a talented Civil Engineer with experience in site, roadway, municipal, or airports. A background in lighting/signage installation, navigational aids, drainage improvements, utility relocation/protection, and pavement rehabilitation is also desired. This position is located in Des Moines, Iowa
.

• Develop civil airfield design, municipal projects, site design and construction improvement documents
• Coordinate with planning and design team members, contractors, and sub-consultants for ongoing planning, design, and construction projects
• Perform civil design, planning, construction support, and client management services for general aviation and commercial air service airports
• Plan, direct and monitor all aspects of engineering and municipal projects including runways, taxiways, aprons, drainage improvements, utility relocation and protection, and pavement rehabilitation
• Involved with projects from start to completion including planning, design, and construction administration, grading, drainage, pavement design, specifications, and construction safety plans
• Collaborate and/or coordinate delivery teams of multi-disciplinary design engineers and technicians
• Mentor in AutoCAD or Micro Station 3D modeling
• Supervise, coordinate, and produce several projects concurrently
• Establish positive client relationships
• Coordinate with clients, funding agencies, state aviation officials, FAA, and local permitting agencies
• Conduct regular site visits during the design and construction phases of improvement projects throughout the United States

• BA/BS + 6 years of relevant experience or equivalence in education and/or experience

• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D Design or Open Roads Designer
• Experience with civil site development or airfield design and construction
• EI or PE, preferably State of Iowa
