Water Resources Engineer II

What We’re Looking For

Join our Central States office and play a vital role in expanding our practice throughout the Midwest. We are seeking a highly creative and motivated engineer with 2+ years of experience in water resources to lead project design. With over 110 years of experience, HNTB consistently ranks as a top design firm nationwide per Engineering News‑Record (ENR).

• Complete assigned work within the schedule and the number of hours provided.
• Prepare and/or modify select portions of project reports, plans, designs, and calculations.
• Develop project quantities and assist with the development of cost estimates.
• Assist engineering teams with organization and administrative support of design files.
• Self‑sufficiently complete research, data collection, field investigations, development, and design tasks for projects.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 2 years of relevant experience, or
• Master’s degree in Engineering and 1 year of relevant experience.

• Proficiency in applying engineering, geometric, and algebraic principles.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Geometric Modelling software such as Micro Station and/or AutoCAD.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.

• Master’s degree in Engineering.
• Knowledge of Micro Station and/or AutoCAD.
