Job SummaryAs Local Event Staff at Water Lantern Festival, you’ll be a key part of our team, ensuring our events run smoothly by tackling a variety of tasks and supporting on‑site operations. Key Responsibilities- Assist with setup, execution, and teardown of event activities, including lantern distribution, guest check‑in, and site preparation.
- Help manage and direct local staff and volunteers, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and on schedule.
- Provide friendly, professional assistance to attendees, answering questions and resolving minor issues to enhance their experience.
- Support the Event Coordinator with inventory checks, equipment handling, and other operational needs.
- Work closely with the core team to maintain a positive, organized environment and ensure all aspects of the event run smoothly.
- Participate in training sessions to learn event‑management skills, with potential to advance to the Event Coordinator role.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Must live in or near the event area.
- Prior experience in event support, customer service, or team coordination preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure.
- Basic problem‑solving and organizational abilities.
- Complete availability on event weekends.
- Physical ability to lift up to 25 pounds, stand for extended periods, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Enthusiastic, reliable, and eager to learn with a team‑oriented mindset.
