Job Description The Des Moines Buccaneers are looking for dependable and energetic individuals to join our
** Ice Crew**. Ice Crew members play an important role in helping keep the ice clean, smooth, and ready for players throughout hockey games and events.

During scheduled breaks in the game, Ice Crew members skate onto the rink and help remove loose snow, ice shavings, and other debris from the playing surface. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys skating, hockey, and working in a fun, fast-paced sports environment.

Responsibilities
* Skate onto the ice during scheduled game breaks to help clean and maintain the playing surface.
* Use a shovel or other equipment as directed to remove snow and loose ice.
* Help keep the ice surface clean, smooth, and safe for players.
* Work quickly and efficiently during short breaks between periods.
* Follow directions from the supervisor and arena staff.
* Work cooperatively with other Ice Crew members.
* Help prepare the ice before games and assist with cleanup after games when needed.
* Maintain a professional and positive attitude while working around fans, players, coaches, and arena staff.
* Follow all arena safety rules and procedures.
* Perform other basic game-day duties as assigned.

Qualifications
* Must be comfortable skating on ice.
* Must be able to skate safely and confidently.
* Previous hockey or ice-skating experience is helpful but not required.
* Must be dependable and arrive on time for scheduled shifts.
* Must be able to work as part of a team.
* Must be able to follow instructions and work efficiently.
* Must be comfortable working in a busy sports and entertainment environment.
* Must be available for hockey games, which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements
* Ability to skate for short periods during games and events.
* Ability to repeatedly enter and exit the ice during game breaks.
* Ability to bend, lift, carry, and move light-to-moderate equipment and snow.
* Ability to work in a cold rink environment.
* Ability to remain active and on your feet for extended periods.
