Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Actuarial Business Systems Analyst (BSA) to serve as the liaison between Actuarial, Finance, Risk, and Technology teams. The ideal candidate will possess strong insurance domain expertise, actuarial knowledge, and business analysis skills to support actuarial modeling, valuation, pricing, reserving, and regulatory reporting initiatives.
The candidate will gather business requirements, analyze actuarial processes, document functional specifications, support system implementations, and facilitate testing activities while ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with Actuarial, Finance, Underwriting, Risk, and IT stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into functional requirements.
- Conduct requirements gathering sessions, workshops, and stakeholder interviews.
- Create and maintain:
- Business Requirements Documents (BRDs)
- Functional Requirements Documents (FRDs)
- User Stories
- Process Flows
- Data Mapping Documents
- Analyze actuarial valuation, pricing, reserving, forecasting, and reporting processes.
- Support implementation and enhancement of actuarial systems and modeling platforms.
- Work with development teams to clarify requirements and ensure successful delivery.
- Coordinate and execute System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Perform data analysis and validation of actuarial calculations and outputs.
- Support regulatory and financial reporting initiatives including IFRS 17, LDTI, Solvency II, or statutory reporting.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend technology solutions.
- Facilitate issue resolution and change management activities throughout project life cycles.
- Bachelor's degree in:
- Actuarial Science

- Related field
- 5+ years of experience as:
- Business Systems Analyst
- Business Analyst
- Actuarial Analyst
- Actuarial Systems Analyst
- Strong understanding of insurance and actuarial concepts.
- Experience working with actuarial valuation, pricing, or reserving teams.
- Proven experience with requirements gathering and documentation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
