At IHMVCU, our Senior Lenders help members navigate their financial journey through strong relationships, sound financial guidance, and exceptional service. This role serves as a senior consumer lending professional and trusted resource within the branch, maintaining a strong book of business while supporting teammates through coaching and support. This position is based at our Financial Center located at 3990 Merle Hay Rd, Des Moines, IA
, however travel may occasionally be required.
Candidates must be available and willing to attend the following:

June 22, 2026
New Hire Training:
June 22nd – June 26th & June 29th – July 3rd in the Quad Cities Area
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
- Minimum three years of strong consumer lending experience.
- Ability to obtain CUNA FiCEP/CCUFC designation within the first year.
- Proven success in Business Development and Community Involvement, cultivating and deepening current relationships while establishing new business client base
- Interpersonal skills to represent the credit union in a positive way, both internally and externally at all times.
- Connect with members to assist them on their financial journey and building relationships with them.
- Be attentive to the members' overall financial health, identify opportunities, provide guidance on the member's financial goals while achieving their financial dreams.
- Interview and assist members in completing loan applications (personal, auto, credit cards, etc) and explain loan terms, rates, repayment schedules, and add-on options.
- Monitor loan pipeline to ensure timely follow-up and processing.
- Serving as a role model to team members while helping coach them through their training and certification process.
- Provide member transactions, opening new accounts, IRAs, CDs, account maintenance as well as originating, documentation and closing of loans.
- Follow and comply with all regulations, policies and procedures.

- The pay range for this position is $/hour, plus Incentive Plan. Final compensation for this position will be determined by various factors such as relevant work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, certifications and internal pay equity.
