Overview

Investment Analyst position at Robert Half located in Des Moines, IA. Join our team to manage and monitor investment activities across various portfolios, ensuring compliance with fiduciary responsibilities.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and supervise investment activities for retirement portfolios within Defined Benefit (DB) and Defined Contribution (DC) plans, ensuring compliance with fiduciary standards.
  • Collaborate with committees, consultants, actuaries, and external advisors to develop and refine investment strategies.
  • Prepare and oversee monthly monitoring reports, quarterly updates, and committee materials, ensuring accurate reporting of investment outcomes for all subsidiary portfolios.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to department staff while coordinating activities under the direction of the Senior Director of Investments.
  • Analyze portfolio performance and recommend adjustments to optimize returns while aligning with risk tolerance.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of market trends and financial analysis to support informed investment decision‑making.
  • Assist in managing nuclear decommissioning trust funds and foundation portfolios.
  • Ensure all investment activities align with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in investment management or financial analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of investment portfolio management and risk assessment.
  • Proficiency in analyzing financial data and making strategic recommendations.
  • Exceptional communication skills to collaborate effectively with committees, consultants, and external advisors.
  • Ability to prepare detailed reports and presentations for various stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with trade finance and retirement portfolio management.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and provide leadership within a team environment.
