West Financial Advisors is an established and growing fee-only wealth management firm located in the vibrant Des Moines East Village. We provide comprehensive financial planning and investment management services to help clients grow and protect their wealth. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to support lead advisors with financial planning analysis.
Client Responsibilities- Generate financial plans and analyses for clients and identify opportunities, risks, and strategies
- Research and communicate financial strategies that will grow and protect client wealth
- Design and deliver client-specific analyses with high-quality visual aids that simplify and communicate complex ideas
- Coordinate the comprehensive client planning process, including implementation and monitoring of client recommendations, and ensure follow up action items are completed on a timely basis
- Manage client planning and financial data in planning and client CRM systems
- Document clients contact data, discussions, and action items in CRM system
- Manage client interactions and prepare account service items as needed
- Support tax team with processing tax returns and present tax planning opportunities to clients
- Utilize effective communication with team members to ensure accurate and complete data and analysis for clients
- Collaborate with team members to improve client interactions and operational efficiencies
- Follow the strategic direction of the leadership team according to the company’s business plan, vision, and compliance standards.
- Bachelor’s degree program in business, finance, accounting or related program
- Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation or significant progress toward earning it, or equivalent
- professional credentials
- Series 65 or Registered Investment Adviser required
- 3 to 7 years experience
- Proficient in CRM and financial planning platforms and skilled in core business software applications to support daily operational needs
- Highly motivated, resourceful, and able to work both independently and with other team members
- Robust analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to perform complex mathematical calculations
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
