The Iowa Department of Corrections is seeking a strategic leader to serve as the Public Service Deputy Director over Community Corrections Operation.
In this executive role, you will provide comprehensive oversight of the state's Community Corrections Operation, directly supervising District Directors along with various staff to ensure operational safety, security, and compliance.
As a key member of the Executive Management Team, you will drive policy development, culture, wellness, recruitment/retention, oversee budget planning, and represent the Department in legal and regulatory matters.

Within the required timeframe, new hires will be verified through the E-Verify system to ensure authorization to work in the United States. This is a non-merit position with the Iowa Department of Corrections. Candidates must follow the instructions in the To Apply section.
Minimum Qualifications- a. Seven years of full-time management/executive-level work;
- b. A total of four years of education and/or full-time experience (as described in part a), where thirty semester hours of accredited college or university coursework in any field equals one year of full-time experience;
- c. A total of two years of graduate-level education and/or full-time experience (as described in part a), where twenty-four semester hours of accredited graduate college or university coursework in public administration, business administration, or a related field equals one year of full-time experience.
