• Conduct tours at the Iowa State Capitol including the building, dome, and grounds.
• Develop educational tours and research State Capitol information.
• Handle retail sales related to the tour program.
• Engage with tour participants, communicating clearly to diverse age groups and backgrounds.

• Excellent public relations skills and the ability to effectively communicate and lead tour groups.
• Strong speaking voice and customer service skills.
• Interest in learning historical information related to the State Capitol.
• Knowledge of state government is beneficial.

The position is part-time and can average 10 hours per week, depending on the season and is flexible. Starting salary is $18.03 per hour.
