Shift: Day Shift (5 am-1:30 pm, 1 weekend a month, 2 holidays a year)
What You Will Do- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures on scheduled shifts, including operating imaging equipment.
- Rotate regularly through surgery cases to acquire skills and proficiency necessary to attain level III status.
- Provide patient/family or caregiver education and counseling in recognition and solution of physical, emotional, and environmental health problems.
- Demonstrate proficiency in performing all exams according to protocol, maintaining a clean, well‑stocked, orderly physical environment of the department.
- Operate equipment safely and efficiently, reporting any malfunctions to manager or biomedical engineer.
- Successful completion of an accredited two‑year radiologic technology program.
- Registry eligible or registered radiologic technologist; maintain active registry status.
- Maintain current Iowa Permit to Practice.
- Participate in a professional society (e.g., ISRT or SCD).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certified or obtained within 3 months of hire.
- Proof of completion of mandatory reporter abuse training specific to population served within 3 months of hire.
