To develop, coordinate, and facilitate employee training that promotes competency, regulatory readiness, and performance improvement. In collaboration with quality and compliance leaders, this position identifies and addresses gaps in employee knowledge and skills and serves as subject matter expert in educational design and delivery to meet the needs of the organization and staff development goals.
Responsibilities:
Education and Training Development
* Designs, implements, and maintains educational training programs utilizing modern training methods for adult learning.
* Develops competency focused educational trainings following regulatory requirements (CMS, CHAP, and federal and local laws) and best practices.
* Assesses training effectiveness and recommends changes based on staff performance.
* Supports organization wide onboarding, competency validation, and skill development on a wide variety of topics including home care, hospice, and post-acute care programs.
* Maintains education and training records for all education training programs, offerings, etc.
* Participates in interdisciplinary committees to support staff and identifies gaps.
* Collaborates with program leaders to provide educational opportunities, which may involve coordinating events with community partners and other agencies.
Quality and Compliance Support
* Collaborates with Quality and Compliance team to ensure all education and training meets regulatory standards and content requirements.
* Supports process improvement initiatives through education and staff development.
* Assists with audits, surveys, and internal reviews to identify educational gaps.
* Recommends improvements to educational processes, tools, and content to enhance effectiveness.
Training Systems Management
* Configures, administers and maintains the organizational learning management system (LMS).
* Ensures accurate assignment, tracking and reporting of electronic training completions in the LMS.
* Monitors, tracks, and reports staff training completions rates.
* Configures, administers and maintains external learning platforms or resources as requested.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in a related field required;
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) with active licensure preferred
* Minimum 5 years prior experience required as trainer in a community-based health setting preferred
* Experience administering and supporting LMS or electronic platforms
* Experience designing and delivering competency focused training
* Experience working with Microsoft products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, One Drive, SharePoint, and Power Automate
* Strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to effectively collaborate with others
* Must have valid driver's license, auto liability insurance and reliable transportation if driving is required
* Successful completion of pre-employment physical, drug screen, 2-step TB test and background check
Working Conditions:
* Sedentary work exerting up to 10 pounds occasionally, and/or a small amount of force frequently to move objects, including the human body
* Physical activities:
Reaching, Standing, Walking, Pushing, Pulling, Lifting, Talking, Fingering (picking, pinching, typing, etc.) Hearing, Grasping (applying pressure with fingers and palm), Repetitive motions, Feeling (perceiving size, shape, texture, temperature by touching), Visual acuity (field of vision for analyzing data, viewing computer, using measurement devices, operating machines, determining accuracy or neatness, and/or making general observations)
* Hours:
Ability to be flexible with a varying schedule and programmatic requirements
* Travel:
Required between locations
