RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work as a registered nurse providing medical surgical and telemetry care

• 16-hour night block option available

• Patient ratios of 4-5:1 with 15-bed unit capacity

• Work with all types of medical surgical care patients

• Administer heparin drips and provide telemetry monitoring

• Remote telemetry tech unit monitoring system

• Float across all campuses including Iowa Methodist MC and Iowa Lutheran

• Weekend schedule as assigned

• Must wear navy blue solid scrubs

• Use EPIC electronic medical record system

• 24 months minimum experience in Med Surg/Med Surg Tele required

• Charge experience required and preceptor experience highly preferred

• Must have completed at least one previous travel contract within 18 months

• EPIC EMR experience required

• Heparin administration experience required

• Telemetry/cardiac background skills highly preferred

• BLS certification through AHA or American Red Cross required

• Active Iowa license or compact/multistate license required

• Must be open to extending beyond initial 13-week assignment
