Description:
Responsibilities- Must possess excellent phone etiquette and communication skills. Coordinates and helps technologists manage patient exam orders, enters XRay exam related data in various software systems and answers phone calls.
- Ability to maintain a professional demeanor in a busy environment with high multi-tasking demands.
- Prepares for and carries out transport of patients, to and from the ED and General Diagnostic Imaging department. Assists technologists as needed in transferring patients to/from cart, beds, wheelchairs and exam tables.
- Assumes responsibility for patients’ care, safety and environment throughout transportation.
- Observes and reports pertinent patient information according to department policy.
- Changes linens, cleans and stores equipment.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Successful completion of a Medical terminology course preferred.
- At least one year of Healthcare work experience preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for the Healthcare Provider certified or obtained within three (3) months of hire. Acceptable credentialing bodies and certifications are American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers.
- Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training specific to population served within three (3) months of hire.
