Job Description

The Healthcare Regulatory Compliance Analyst is a hands-on compliance professional responsible for monitoring, interpreting, and operationalizing healthcare, senior living, and long term care regulations via creation of policies and procedures for use across multi-state senior living communities. This role combines regulatory research expertise with policy governance, auditing, and implementation oversight in partnership with healthcare and operations leaders to ensure enterprise-wide compliance with federal and state healthcare, compliance and HIPAA laws.

The analyst supports the HIPAA and Corporate Compliance Programs and serves as a resource to department leadership, clinical teams, and operational stakeholders to maintain the highest standards of ethical and regulatory conduct.

What You’ll Do:

  • In collaboration with department leadership, monitor, interpret, and track federal and multi-state healthcare regulations (including OIG, HIPAA, HITECH, Medicare, Medicaid, and state-specific senior living requirements), identifying regulatory changes, trends, and emerging risks.
  • Translate new or updated regulatory requirements into policies and procedures, identify potential discrepancies with current practices and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Author, revise, and maintain state-specific policies and procedures aligned with regulatory and organizational standards, ensuring operational feasibility and clinical alignment.
  • Manage the full policy lifecycle, including drafting, review, approval, publication, version control, archiving, and retirement within a centralized governance framework.
  • Supports the Compliance Officer by working closely with various departments to ensure cohesive compliance efforts and address any compliance-related issues.
  • Conducts assigned compliance work-plan audits/projects, documenting the results, and tracking the completion of corrective action plans with stakeholders as required. In partnership with department, healthcare and operations leaders, provides additional communication of audit plan specifics and collaboration on solutions-based responses.
  • Supports the healthcare regulatory compliance team in developing and measuring compliance metrics and accountability measures through the annual compliance work plan
  • Aggregate the information captured on the auditing and monitoring plan to create dashboards for various stakeholders to evaluate and determine necessary next steps.
  • Partner with training teams to translate regulatory and policy updates into educational materials, competency resources, and targeted compliance training initiatives.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, legal studies, or related discipline, or equivalent experience required.
  • 4 - 6 years in healthcare regulatory/compliance.
  • Experience researching and synthesizing federal and state healthcare regulations within the senior living and long-term care industry.
  • Familiarity with the OIG Compliance & Ethics and HIPAA programs.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and data analysis skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including drafting/editing skills.
