A design-forward, independently minded lifestyle hotel company with a portfolio that includes several Michelin Key properties is seeking a Director of Food & Beverage to lead the complete F&B experience at a 145-room boutique hotel housed in a beautifully restored historic building in a growing Midwestern city. F&B is central to the hotel's identity, and this Executive Committee role offers broad influence over restaurant and bar operations, banquets and catering, in-room dining, and the wine, spirits, and cocktail program.
Whatyou'll do
- Shape and lead the full restaurant, bar, banquet, catering, and in-room dining experience
- Develop and oversee the wine, spirits, and cocktail program
- Serve as a member of the Executive Committee, influencing product, service culture, and operating systems
- Rebuild and develop the senior F&B leadership team, establishing standards and accountability
- Partner closely with culinary leadership to align F&B vision and execution
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, labor, product costs, inventory, and overall profitability
- Hire, develop, and hold managers accountable across the F&B organization
- Collaborate with chefs, sales leaders, hotel executives, and corporate partners
- Contribute broadly as a senior property leader with visibility toward future GM, corporate, or VP-level growth
- Leadership experience in an elevated, modern restaurant, bar, lifestyle hotel, luxury property, resort, or sophisticated multi-outlet operation
- Credibility across restaurant service, banquets, catering, weddings, and private events
- A well-rounded passion for beverage, including wine, spirits, and craft cocktails
- Strong judgment distinguishing a good F&B program from a great one
- Financial command of budgeting, forecasting, labor, product costs, inventory, and profitability
- Experience hiring, developing, and holding managers accountable
- A collaborative approach with chefs, sales leaders, hotel executives, and corporate partners
- Executive presence, sound judgment, and the ability to contribute broadly as a senior property leader
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship
- Compensation up to $105,000 base
- Executive Committee incentive of up to 20%
- Potential relocation assistance
This is a chance to rebuild and lead a senior F&B team from the ground up, with direct access to hotel and corporate leaders and a visible platform for continued growth toward GM, corporate, or VP-level responsibility, in a lively downtown with a growing culinary and cultural scene and a cost of living that gives the compensation greater purchasing power than in major coastal markets.
