Regulatory Compliance Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY –Responsible for the administration of all benefits and retirement programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, and 401(k) plans. WORK ENVIRONMENT —Must be willing and able to work in an environment exposed to elements that can include but are not limited to coolant, dust, mist, elevated noise, and uncontrolled temperatures.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- Ensure the accuracy of all benefit enrollments in the HRIS to provide vendors with accurate eligibility information
- Effectively interprets FMLA and ADA implications as they relate to leaves of absences/disabilities
- Responds to 401(k) inquiries from managers and employees relating to enrollments, plan changes and contribution amounts
- Manage the annual catch-up contribution enrollment
- Assist with the open enrollment process
- Provide necessary reports for allocation/billing charges
- Perform quality checks of benefits-related data
- Assist employees regarding benefits claim issues and plan changes
- Distribute all benefits enrollment materials and determines eligibility
- Enroll employees with carriers and process life status changes
- Respond to benefits inquiries from managers and employees on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, status changes and other general inquiries
- Processes and administer all leave-of-absence requests and disability paperwork including medical, personal, disability and FMLA
- Handle Compliance for EEOC, BOL Statistics, OES reporting
- Assist with hiring and termination processes
- Workman’s Compensation administration
- Perform miscellaneous payroll functions for garnishments, wage assignments, and levees
- Payroll processing back-up and finalize year end processing, W2 and 1095
- Other duties as assigned
- Ability to stop the production line and/or prevent shipment of products due to nonconformance or potential nonconformance products to our customers
- Support the environmental policy with proactive process implementation, improvement suggestions, reducing waste, and acting on environment performance results and findings
- Ability to make sound, ethical decisions
- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels within the organization as well as persons outside of the company
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to learn and utilize internal HRIS software
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field of study preferred
Experience: Five or more years of experience in HR and/or benefits administration preferred
Certificates & Licenses: SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) certification preferred
