Brief Description This is an on-site position in Des Moines, IA.
- Analyzes, inputs and prepares payroll data via automated system to produce accurate and timely payroll (weekly & bi-weekly). Ensures compliance with all applicable state and federal wage and hour laws.
- Prepares weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end reports (gross payroll, hours worked, vacation accrual, tax deductions, benefit deductions, etc.) for management.
- Maintains current knowledge of applicable state and federal wage and hour laws.
- Stays current on payroll systems to achieve alignment with HR benefits and other related items.
- Provides effective accounting support for payroll related matters.
- Facilitates management and employee understanding of payroll procedures.
- Approving invoices for payment.
- Assists in organizational training and development efforts.
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

- Helps monitor performance appraisal process.
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
Skills:
Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of payroll, effective oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills and computer proficiency. Detail-oriented, ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines. Able to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
Education And Work Experience- An Associate’s Degree and/or Bachelor’s Degree, or
- Three to Five years’ experience in Payroll.
- Any similar combination of education and experience.
Provide payroll support for all levels of the organization. Additionally, this position would assist with other HR projects as necessary.
