Overview
Akkodis is seeking a Data Analyst for a Contract role with a client in West Des Moines, IA. The ideal candidate will have strong proficiency in SQL, Excel, BI tools, and hands-on experience with data warehousing, AWS analytics services, and insurance domain workflows.
Rate Range: $41.66/hour to $53/hour. The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Responsibilities- Perform advanced data analysis using SQL and Excel to support reporting and insights.
- Work with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik to visualize data and create dashboards.
- Analyze insurance workflows including Policy, Claims, and Underwriting processes.
- Interpret risk concepts such as exposure, trends, and early warning indicators to generate meaningful insights.
- Work hands-on with Data Warehouse concepts, including star schema design, fact tables, and dimension tables.
- Utilize AWS data analytics services for data processing, transformation, and analysis.
- Perform data modeling and apply normalization/denormalization techniques.
- Identify data patterns and convert them into actionable business insights.
- 6–8 years of relevant experience.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Excel.
- Experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik).
- Knowledge of insurance domain, including Policy, Claims, Underwriting.
- Understanding of risk analysis concepts.
- Hands-on experience with Data Warehousing, including star schema and fact/dimension modeling.
- Knowledge of AWS services related to analytics.
- Experience with data modeling and normalization/denormalization.
- Knowledge of Agile and tools like JIRA and Jenkins.

Pay Details: $41.66 to $53.00 per hour
