Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Power BI Developer. This role will focus on building and maintaining Power BI dashboards, developing robust data models, and inputting/manipulating data using SQL. The ideal candidate brings a blend of technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to translate business requirements into clear, actionable data solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, enhance, and distribute Power BI dashboards and reports, including deployment through Power BI Apps.
  • Build and maintain SQL queries to support reporting, data transformations, and dashboard input.
  • Partner closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates, and ensure data solutions meet expectations.
  • Investigate and analyze data sources using Microsoft SQL and KPI/metrics reporting methodologies.
  • Empower stakeholders by enabling self-service analytics and delivering clear, user-friendly visualizations.
  • Challenge the status quo by understanding business needs and proposing innovative, efficient data solutions.
  • Train and onboard end-users on Power BI dashboards and reporting tools (bonus).
Preferred Skills & Experience
  • Proficiency in Power BI, including DAX, data modeling, and visualization best practices.
  • Strong command of Microsoft SQL (must be proficient).
  • Exposure to Databricks (nice to have).
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure data tools and environments.
  • Knowledge of Property & Casualty insurance concepts.
  • Experience with other reporting tools such as SSRS or Tableau (bonus).
  • Relevant certifications (bonus):
  • Power BI Data Analyst Associate
  • Azure Enterprise Data Analyst Associate
  • AIDA, CPCU, or other industry designations
