Deputy Data Director

Position Summary

The Iowa Democratic Party is hiring a Deputy Data Director for our Coordinated Campaign to support the statewide data program.

• Work with the Senior Data Director to identify data needs across the state
• Build data pipelines and integrations between tools and platforms
• Design and develop reports and tools for other teams in line with key programmatic priorities, especially the organizing and digital teams
• Build target universes for voter contact
• Maintain and respond to a ticketing system for data support requests and flags
• Support other members of the data team to complete projects as necessary

• Advanced Google Sheets skills
• Proficient in SQL
• Experience with Vote builder (VAN)
• Comfortable programming in Python, R, or similar languages
• Experience creating visualizations and dashboards using Looker Studio, Tableau, and/or Power BI
• Experience communicating technical concepts to non‑technical audiences
• Strong organizational and strategic thinking skills

This is a full‑time position lasting through November 2026. Candidates must have a reliable laptop, cell phone, and vehicle, and must be comfortable working irregular hours, including nights and weekends.
