Diamond Animal Health (DAH) is seeking an IT Specialist to serve as the primary on‑site technology resource for our animal biologics contract development and manufacturing (CDMO) facility in Des Moines, IA. This role owns day‑to‑day IT operations, delivers hands‑on end user support, and contributes to strategic process improvement and system implementation initiatives across a regulated manufacturing environment. In addition to supporting DAH directly, this individual will participate in a global helpdesk function providing secondary remote support to a sister company, Veterinary Pharmaceutical Solutions.
This is a high‑ownership, high‑visibility role suited for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment, takes initiative without being asked, and can operate as a capable generalist across both operational and project‑oriented work. We’re looking for someone who listens carefully, asks good questions, and solves problems at the root rather than patching symptoms. If you’re driven by curiosity and take ownership instinctively, you’ll fit here.
WhatThis Role Offers
Unlike typical IT support roles, this position offers direct ownership of an entire facility’s technology environment within a regulated CDMO operating under FDA, USDA, and DEA oversight. You will be the person who keeps DAH running and collaborates directly with leadership to shape how technology evolves here. Success requires strong technical fundamentals, sound judgment under compliance pressure, and the ability to translate operational problems into practical solutions.
The role is designed with a technical growth path in mind for the right candidate.
