CRM System, IT Business Analyst
Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a Salesforce Consultant for a client in the Des Moines, IA area. This individual will join a small-mid sized salesforce team under the Sales & Marketing IT space. This role will lean heavily into the discovery & consulting piece of the current Salesforce system in order to optimize how it is being utilized. In this role you will:
- Conduct structured discovery with B2B business stakeholders to understand current workflows, pain points, and desired future outcomes
- Document current‑state and future‑state business processes in clear, business‑friendly language
- Translate business goals into Salesforce use cases and solution designs
- Design pragmatic Salesforce solutions that reduce manual effort and improve data quality
- Optimize core Salesforce functionality, including opportunity models, account/contact structures, and sales guidance
- Build and enhance automation using Salesforce Flows, validation rules, and governance controls
- Independently configure Salesforce objects, fields, record types, layouts, reports, and dashboards
- Ensure solutions are tested, documented, production‑ready, and aligned with Salesforce best practices
- Deliver actionable reporting and dashboards to support pipeline visibility, decision‑making, and user accountability
- Act as a trusted advisor by communicating clearly with stakeholders, presenting recommendations, and supporting enablement and adoption
Hourly pay rate for this position ranges between $65.00-$70.00 and is dependent on experience level.

- 5+ years of hands on Salesforce experience in Sales Cloud / B2B environments
- Configuration experience within Salesforce; specifically Sales Cloud
- Strong experience with:
- Opportunity lifecycle design
- Salesforce Flows (required)
- Reports & dashboards
- Data modeling and governance
- Consulting experience analyzing complex business processes, identifying inefficiencies, and translating business requirements into scalable Salesforce solutions
- Comfortable working independently with ambiguous requirements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience supporting multiple business units within a single Salesforce org
- Salesforce certifications (Admin, Advanced Admin, App Builder, or Business Analyst)
- Experience in B2B sales operations and multistakeholder sales models
- Experience with Marketing Cloud
