IT Infrastructure Systems Administrator (IPI ITS4) Des Moines, Iowa – Onsite needed
We are seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Systems Administrator to support enterprise IT operations across multiple locations. This role is responsible for maintaining servers, networks, hardware, software, security, backups, and overall infrastructure while providing technical support to business users.
Key Responsibilities- Administer and maintain Windows servers, workstations, and enterprise infrastructure.
- Support LAN/WAN environments, including Cisco routers, switches, and network connectivity.
- Install, configure, upgrade, and troubleshoot hardware, software, printers, and network devices.
- Monitor system performance and recommend infrastructure improvements.
- Develop and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and system maintenance plans.
- Maintain system security, user access, and IT security policies.
- Provide technical support and resolve infrastructure‑related issues for end users.
- Maintain IT asset inventory, hardware documentation, and network diagrams.
- Evaluate hardware and software solutions and assist with procurement and implementation.
- Coordinate with vendors and consultants on infrastructure projects as needed.
- Support enterprise applications, including integrated accounting and manufacturing systems.
- Test new software, system upgrades, and infrastructure changes before deployment.
- Prepare technical documentation and provide training to users on systems and applications.
- Experience administering Windows Server environments.
- Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN networking.
- Hands‑on experience with Cisco routers and switches.
- Experience with Active Directory and user administration.
- Knowledge of server maintenance, backups, disaster recovery, and system security.
- Experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting hardware and software.
- Strong understanding of enterprise IT infrastructure and technical support.
- Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
