IT Engineer​/AI; AWS Platform & DevOps Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Migrate engineering automation skills, playbooks, and infrastructure workflows from Azure to AWS while preserving existing engineering logic.
• Translate Azure Container Registry (ACR) workflows to Amazon Elastic Container Registry (ECR) and Git Hub Container Registry (GHCR).
• Convert deployment automation from Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) to Amazon ECS on Fargate.
• Configure ECS task definitions, services, IAM task roles, networking, Cloud Watch logging, Application Load Balancers (ALB), and deployment validation.
• Replace Azure Managed Identities and federated credentials with AWS IAM Roles, OIDC federation, and Okta integration.
• Migrate Azure Key Vault implementations to AWS Secrets Manager and AWS Systems Manager Parameter Store.
• Convert Infrastructure-as-Code from Azure Terraform providers to AWS Terraform providers, including remote state management and reusable modules.
• Build and enhance Git Hub Actions CI/CD pipelines for AWS deployments.
• Configure Git Hub Actions reusable workflows, OIDC authentication, runners, and deployment automation.
• Adapt engineering skills and automation scripts to execute reliably within Ubuntu-based Coder work spaces.
• Build and maintain golden EC2 AMIs with preconfigured developer tooling including Claude Code and supporting engineering utilities.
• Utilize Claude Code to accelerate implementation while independently validating AI-generated output.
• Evaluate AWS Blocks and AWS CDK as modernization alternatives to direct Azure-to-AWS migration.
• Execute validation testing using the organization's automated evaluation framework.
• Produce technical documentation, implementation guides, and operational handoff documentation.
• Collaborate closely with Athene Dev Ops engineers to ensure engineering standards, security, and best practices are followed.

• Expertise in Terraform including:
  Infrastructure as Code

• Strong Git Hub Actions CI/CD experience including:
  Git Hub environments
• Container build and deployment pipelines
• Strong Bash and Python scripting skills
• Experience maintaining automation repositories containing:
  Terraform
• Git Hub Actions
• Shell scripts
• Markdown documentation
• Ability to interpret existing Azure infrastructure and translate it into AWS implementations
• Strong Git and Git Hub Enterprise experience
• Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and collaboration skills
