We are seeking an experienced UNIX / Linux Systems Administrator to support the day-to-day administration, availability, reliability, and continued improvement of a complex enterprise infrastructure environment. This role will support both ongoing UNIX/Linux operations and infrastructure projects focused on system stability, patching, upgrades, automation, and environment improvements.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on UNIX/Linux systems administration experience with a particular focus on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL
8). This individual should be comfortable supporting highly available, business-critical production systems and understand clustered and redundant environments, controlled deployments, and the processes required to maintain system reliability and uptime.

This role will support both ongoing UNIX/Linux operations and infrastructure projects focused on system stability, patching, upgrades, automation, and environment improvements.

8). This individual should be comfortable supporting highly available, business-critical production systems and understand clustered and redundant environments, controlled deployments, and the processes required to maintain system reliability and uptime.
- Provision, configure, maintain, troubleshoot, patch, and upgrade Red Hat Enterprise Linux and UNIX-based systems, including RHEL 8
- Support day-to-day administration and operations within a complex enterprise UNIX/Linux environment
- Monitor system health, performance, capacity, availability, CPU, memory, disk utilization, and other key infrastructure metrics
- Administer system access, including user accounts, permissions, security groups, and access-related support
- Investigate system alerts and troubleshoot server, operating system, and application infrastructure issues
- Support highly available, clustered, and redundant production environments
- Perform operating system patching, upgrades, configuration changes, and general environment maintenance and cleanup
- Follow controlled deployment practices, including testing and promoting changes through lower environments before implementing changes in production
- Support enterprise backup and recovery processes, including troubleshooting failures and assisting with system or file restores
- Participate in disaster recovery and business continuity activities
- Collaborate with infrastructure, operations, and application teams on system maintenance and project execution
- Contribute to infrastructure projects involving system upgrades, hardware, automation, patching, and platform improvements
- Support technology initiatives that may include MySQL, Ansible, DDV2, and Falcon application upgrades
- Use scripting and automation to improve patching, maintenance, and operational processes
- Maintain system documentation, configuration information, and operational procedures
- Hands-on UNIX/Linux systems administration experience in an enterprise environment
- Strong experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux, particularly RHEL 8
- Experience supporting highly available production systems where reliability and uptime are critical
- Understanding of clustered and redundant infrastructure environments
- Experience with UNIX/Linux patching, operating system upgrades, troubleshooting, monitoring, and system maintenance
- Experience with user administration, permissions, and system access
- Understanding of controlled production deployments and promoting changes through lower environments before production
- Experience troubleshooting server, operating system, and application infrastructure issues
- Exposure to enterprise backup, recovery, monitoring, or systems management technologies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to learn and navigate a complex environment with multiple networks, systems, and technologies
- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively across technical teams
