Senior Systems Operations Engineer

our client is currently seeking a qualified senior systems operations engineer to join their team in a hybrid role in des moines, ia.

the ideal candidate must possess hands on windows 11 and intune skills to support and troubleshoot issues and engineer solutions.

• support project for 4,100 branches, 65,000 desktops / tablets, 200,000 various peripherals
• tier 3 production support tickets
• answering vendor pages from techs installing or doing break/fix work
• light ad administration / fulfilling qa tester requests
• issue trending, root cause resolution
• conducting unit-level testing on new hardware and software updates
• author simple to intermediate-level fix scripts
• provide support to vendor technicians
• analyzing workstation logs and working with the development team on issues
• implement complex / advanced automated solutions

• minimum 5 to 7+ years of experience in a tier 2 / tier 3 production support role remotely troubleshooting windows 10 / 11 based devices (workstations, laptops, tablets) and/or printers/peripherals in a large networked environment
• 3+ years of experience with ms configuration manager
• 2+ years of experience with ms intune
• minimum 2+ years of basic active directory administration
• working knowledge of remote desktop support/administration tools such as: rdp, sccm, remote registry editor, sysinternals tools such as psexec / pskill / psloggedon / procmon / process explorer)
• 2+ years of desktop administration, engineering, scripting (powershell, batch files, etc.)

the rate for this position is between $34.28 - $45.70 per hour, unless local minimum wage is higher. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
