Iowa Demolition is a national‑reach full‑service asbestos abatement, demolition, and soil/water remediation company. We operate in 32 states and have been named the top U.S. abatement firm in 2021 (ENR). Our alliance with Priority Environmental Services, Snyder Environmental, Simpson Environmental Services, and Potomac Abatement allows us to provide local service nearly nationwide.
OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Project Manager who specializes in interior demolition. The role involves identifying, bidding on, and managing projects typical of our business lines, maintaining excellent relationships with customers, and overseeing project performance from start to finish.
Responsibilities• Identify and bid on projects within the Company’s service lines.
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with new and existing customers.
• Manage overall performance of assigned projects from start to finish.
• Supervise and coordinate activities of supervisors and workers while demonstrating a commitment to safety, teamwork, and quality work.
• Review job specifications, inspect work sites, and confer with contracting agents to evaluate removal projects.
• Travel up to 30% as required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction or demolition.
- Basic construction or demolition knowledge; ability to read blueprints and specifications.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related business field is a plus.
- Proven financial/budgetary skills in construction project management with a track record of delivering projects on time and on budget.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to interact with employees at all organizational levels.
- Adaptability to changes, delays, and unexpected events; capability to manage multiple conflicting priorities.
- Ability to build trusting relationships to gain support and achieve results.
- Strong problem‑solving skills to address competitive, complex business issues with innovative strategies.
- Initiative to identify and anticipate company needs and recommend implementation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Windows (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident Alien status, or Authorization to work in the U.S.
