Your future role

* Lead the accounting team in processing invoices for internal and external clients

* Oversee the preparation of financial statements and monthly management reports

* Analyze financial results, identify trends, and explain budget variances to senior management

* Coordinate and support audits, ensuring compliance with internal controls and policies.

* Prepare, monitor, and manage the annual budget process

* Collaborate with North American team members across Logistics, Sales, and Operations to ensure seamless financial operations

* Implement and monitor new accounting procedures, driving process improvements

* Oversee project & construction accounting including job cost reporting and WIP analysis (POC, cost-to-complete, margin) and identifying risks

* Manage intercompany & technical accounting, including intercompany reconciliations, governance documentation, and support for revenue recognition/contract structures

* Mentor and develop accounting staff, fostering a high-performing team environment

Required skills

* Degree in Accounting or equivalent

* Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership experience

* Strong knowledge of tax regulations and US GAAP

* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting systems

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a solution-oriented mindset

* Global perspective on financial mandates and business operations

* Excellent interpersonal, communication, and team leadership skills

* CPA certification - considered a strong asset.

* Good organizational skills
