This senior-level role serves as the lead investment professional responsible for developing and executing comprehensive investment strategies across asset classes including private equity, hedge funds, real estate, public markets, and alternative investments. The Director will oversee asset allocation decisions, portfolio performance monitoring, and manager selection for new investments, ensuring alignment with the principal financial objectives, risk tolerance, and return targets.
Beyond the personal portfolio, the Director will manage the foundation assets, aligning investment strategies with the organization philanthropic mission, grantmaking goals, and long-term sustainability objectives. This includes overseeing ESG and impact investing initiatives, ensuring compliance with foundation-specific regulatory requirements, and partnering with leadership to develop spending policies that balance immediate priorities with multi-generational legacy goals.
The role requires building and maintaining relationships with external investment banks, family offices, institutional partners, and third-party advisors. The Director will work closely with legal, tax, and accounting professionals on investment-related matters, develop governance structures and investment committee processes, and provide comprehensive reporting to the principal and key stakeholders.
Ideal candidates will bring deep investment expertise across multiple asset classes, sound judgment on complex financial matters, and the ability to serve as a trusted advisor. Experience in family office investment management, institutional alternatives, or multi-asset portfolio management is strongly preferred.
