Technical Assistance Director (The National PCA Hub)
The National PCA Hub is an initiative designed to strengthen collaboration and resource sharing for the collective benefit of all Health Centers and Primary Care Associations (PCA) across the nation, representing the most comprehensive, trusted, and enduring technical assistance (TA) infrastructure supporting the Health Center Program.
POSITION ROLE
The TA Director/Lead is responsible for the design, implementation, and operational execution of all technical assistance activities under the Operational Excellence NTAP Cooperative Agreement. Reporting to the Vice President/Project Director, the TA Director/Lead ensures that all TA activities are strategically aligned with Operational Excellence objectives and grounded in evidence-based operational improvement practices. Oversees the development and implementation of all Operational Excellence technical assistance activities, including national webinars, Communities of Practice, and outcomes-focused cohorts.
This position supervises Program Managers and contracts with TA Delivery Partners and TA Subject Matter Experts and ensures that all technical content integrates current operational trends.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and oversee 22+ national audience TA activities annually.
- Lead implementation of eight CoPs per year (minimum six sessions each).
- Direct six concurrent 3-year outcomes-focused cohorts.
- Ensure cohort alignment with UDS and financial performance benchmarks.
- Integrate value-based care, revenue cycle optimization, AI adoption, cybersecurity, and workflow redesign into TA programming.
- Coordinate national TA dissemination and knowledge exchange.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
- Financial analysis.
- Workflow redesign.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s degree in health administration, finance, informatics, or related field.
- 7+ years health center operational leadership.
- Demonstrated expertise in revenue cycle, staffing models, UDS metrics, and financial sustainability.
WORK LOCATION
- This position may be hybrid for candidates residing in Central Iowa and fully remote for candidates located outside the Central Iowa area.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
- Up to 10% for NTAP meetings and National PCA Hub Meetings
