As a Press Brake Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating press brake machines according to work orders, blueprints, and specifications. This role involves selecting, installing, and aligning tooling, dies, and fixtures, and operating the press brake to bend metal sheets and parts to precise angles and dimensions.

• Set up press brake machines according to work orders, blueprints, and specifications.
• Select, install, and align tooling, dies, and fixtures.
• Operate the press brake to bend metal sheets and parts to precise angles and dimensions.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and measurement tools such as calipers, protractors, micrometers, and tape measures.
• Inspect finished parts for accuracy, quality, and compliance with tolerances.
• Make machine adjustments to maintain part consistency.

• Experience in fabricating, welding, and reading blueprints.
• Proficiency with MIG and TIG welding techniques.
• Expertise in operating Press Brake, Brake Press, CNC Press, and CNC machinery.
• Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication.

• Previous press brake experience is required.

The work environment is laid‑back yet goal‑oriented, encouraging hard work to meet customer demands. The team, consisting of about 30 people, collaborates often in this custom machine shop. Dress code requires steel‑toed boots, but jeans are acceptable. Employees must have their own welding helmets. The position is for the 1st shift, running from 6 am to 2:30 pm, Monday through Friday.

Contract to Hire position based out of Des Moines, IA.

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $25.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
