Converting Operator

Job Description

Join a dynamic team dedicated to manufacturing high-quality defibrillator pads used by leading medical companies. As a Converting Operator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production line within a cleanroom facility.

Responsibilities
  • Set up, run, clean, and perform general maintenance on various machines following work orders, job processes, and drawings.
  • Ensure machines are set up according to applicable drawings within defined setup times.
  • Inspect the quality of materials and work in process, focusing on quality standards such as registration, debris, and print quality.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve machine-related issues including tension, pressure, and settings.
  • Process and handle associated paperwork accurately as required for completed work.
  • Complete tasks in a timely manner according to departmental schedules.
  • Operate multiple machines fluently with minimal supervision.
  • Lead by example in attitude, work quality, work ethic, dependability, and company loyalty within the hydrogel area.
  • Collaborate with other departments as needed.
  • Maintain and improve 5S within the work area.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Essential Skills
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Experience using measuring devices including rulers, comparators, calipers, and gauges to collect and record data.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English.
  • Capability to read and understand assembly drawings and build products accordingly.
  • Ability to push or pull 25 lbs to 80 lbs.

  • Mechanical assembly and assembly line experience.
  • Familiarity with cleanroom and documentation processes.

Work Environment

Work in a temperature-controlled, cleanroom facility where medical devices are assembled. Lockers are available for personal items, though candidates must bring their own padlock. The large break room requires employees to bring their own lunch. Dress code includes closed-toed tennis shoes, shorts or jeans, and long sleeve or t-shirt under a lab jacket/smock. Hair net and beard net are required ft D1 runs Monday to Wednesday from 7 am to 7 pm.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
