Obtain supplies, position work and follow verbal or written instructions Obtain and set up hand tooling and dies on press breaks and other presses in the department Read and interpret blueprints Read scales, micrometers and calipers Instruct operators in safe and proper methods of operation Obtain first piece inspection approval and when removing dies, visually evaluate last piece left in dies for apparent problems Utilize knowledge and experience on a wide variety of presses and techniques needed to set up such equipment Complete tasks as directed with minimum supervision Ensure work is done safely and meets quality standards Provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task Reports problems with quality, processes, equipment and materials to supervisor Perform other duties as directed that correspond to the overall function of this position Assist department during times where there are gaps in coverage such as operate press brakes Keep work areas clean and organized and take proper care of all equipment and facilities Desire to learn and work to the best of his/her abilities as well as dependable work ethic Follow all company rules and policies
