Job Summary

The position involves manufacturing customized products that meet customer specifications and preparing completed orders for shipment.

• Examine customer specifications using drawings, work orders, or blueprints to determine product characteristics, materials, and machine setup.
• Fabricate work pieces according to work order specifications.
• Retrieve correct materials and perform various fabrication duties.
• Inspect work pieces visually, by touch, or with measuring tools (tape rule, calipers, gauges) to ensure product meets standards.
• Package products for shipping and install protective devices such as bracing, padding, or strapping to prevent damage.
• Maintain work area condition, keeping it free of trash and properly organized.
• Follow company safety policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Select appropriate processes from prescribed rules or past practices and seek guidance on non‑routine matters from supervisors.
• Conduct detailed checks or obtain close review of output by a senior coworker or supervisor.

• High school diploma or GED (strongly preferred).
• 0–2 years of experience in a relevant area (mechanical, fabrication, metalworking).
• Experience with fabrication shop equipment and metal‑working preferred.
• Physical ability to lift 50 pounds or more, stand, walk, stoop, climb, and maneuver heavy or awkward items.
• Willingness to work intermittent periods of continuous physical exertion and occasional overnight travel (less than 10% of time).
• Capability to work under close supervision and exercise limited independent judgment.
