WHAT YOU GET TO DO
- Operators will lead inall aspects of operation of rewind/slitter lines including change-overs, machine start-up, running and shut-down.
- Support operations in becoming World Class in all aspects of the business, beginning with Safety.
- Run all jobs in accordance with customer specification, manufacturing specification, and standard operating procedures.
- Adjust machine specifications, pressures, and equipment for each job.
- Ensure all appropriate paperwork is filled out accurately and completely.
- Work with and direct the rewind assistant and other team mates to minimize job change-over and down time.
- Train and direct the rewind assistant to become efficient at all the required assistant duties defined in each level of the assistant training matrix on time.
- Performs standard quality assurance tests and other tests as required.
- Operating the doctor winder or runs rework on assigned machine
- Monitors and maintains quality by removing flagged defects and looking for unflagged defects.
- While also knowing and understanding the role in product safety.
- Comply with all 5S and WCM initiatives (Cross Training, moving to the work)
- All other duties as assigned by supervisor or management
- Ability to lift up to 50-60 lbs
- Willing and able to stand and walk for a 12 hour shift
- Frequent reaching, bending, stooping, kneeling, and twisting
- Frequent use of wrist and hands
- Frequent stepping up and down from platforms

- Previous manufacturing experience
- Knowledgeable and able to understand a computer and programs
- Possess adequate math, measurement, and reading skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good organizational and interpersonal skills
- Ability to interact effectively and professionally with others in a team environment
