Description

Diamond Animal Health is seeking a Pharmaceutical Technician to join our Pharmaceuticals team. This position supports the manufacturing of pharmaceutical products in a regulated environment and offers the opportunity to contribute to a variety of production processes involving liquids, powders, and tablets. Based on qualifications, experience, technical knowledge, and demonstrated skills, the selected candidate may be hired as a Pharmaceutical Technician I, II, or III.

Position

Summary

The Pharmaceutical Technician is responsible for supporting daily production operations involving pharmaceutical liquids, powders, and tablets. This role includes equipment setup, operation, cleaning, troubleshooting, material handling, documentation, and adherence to quality and safety standards. Depending on experience and qualifications, the position may also support employee training, production coordination, process improvements, and operational oversight.

Responsibilities
  • Set up, clean, operate, and maintain pharmaceutical manufacturing and packaging equipment.
  • Manufacture, compound, blend, fill, compress, package, and label pharmaceutical products according to established procedures.
  • Move raw materials, packaging components, work‑in‑process materials, and finished goods throughout the production process.
  • Ensure products meet established quality standards and specifications.
  • Complete production documentation, batch records, and equipment logs accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and production issues to support safe and efficient operations.
  • Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP/cGMP), and safety requirements.
  • Operate forklifts and material handling equipment in accordance with company safety procedures, as applicable.
  • Support training activities, process validation efforts, production scheduling, and continuous improvement initiatives based on experience and assigned level.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
  • Manufacturing, pharmaceutical, food production, laboratory, chemical processing, or other related experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and accurately complete required documentation.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Mechanical aptitude and the ability to learn and operate production equipment.
  • Ability to work independently, solve problems, and adapt in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office, email, and internet applications.
  • Knowledge of GMP/cGMP requirements and regulated manufacturing environments is preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push or pull up to 100 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, climb, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods.
  • Ability to wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
