Shred Plant Associate

Our client, a leading information destruction and recycling services company, is seeking a Shred Plant Associate to join their team. As a Shred Plant Associate, you will be part of the Operations Team supporting the Secure Destruction and Production Teams. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Shred Plant Associate
Location: Des Moines, IA
Pay Range: $16.00 per hour

What’s the Job?

• Process, sort, and shred materials while maintaining security and chain of custody standards.
• Load and unload vehicles and verify the accuracy of deliveries and pickups.
• Inspect materials, separate contaminants, and prepare items for secure destruction.
• Perform basic equipment maintenance and promptly report operational or safety concerns.
• Follow OSHA, safety, security, and 5S workplace procedures to maintain an efficient work environment.

What’s Needed?

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience in an operations, production, or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to lift 70-100 lbs. and push wheeled containers weighing up to 300 lbs.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and within a team.
• Commitment to following safety procedures and wearing required PPE.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and manufacturing-type environments.
