Role Description
We are seeking a part-time Area Coordinator for our Iowa City/Cedar Rapids Chapter. The Area Coordinator will oversee local program operations, including volunteer recruitment, training, and support, as well as developing and maintaining relationships with community partners. Additional responsibilities include monitoring program outcomes, facilitating effective communication, and ensuring compliance with organizational standards and policies.
Qualifications
- Strong leadership, organizational, and strategic planning skills
- Proficiency in volunteer recruitment, training, and engagement
- Effective communication, relationship-building, and public speaking skills
- Experience in program coordination, community outreach, and partnership management
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment
- Familiarity with family services, child welfare, or nonprofit operations is an advantage
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in social work, nonprofit management, or a related field
