Travel RN - Pediatric ICU

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) night position requiring Epic EMR proficiency, Iowa or compact RN license, and a minimum of 24 months PICU experience.

Job Details

• Work in a 12-bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit with all private rooms,

• Night shifts are scheduled for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, consisting of 3x12 hour shifts per week,

• Floating required to NICU (for feeders and growers, not the sickest neonates) and may float to ED patient holds as needed,

• No on-call required,

• Holiday rotation required if scheduled,

• Epic EMR is used in this facility,

Job Requirements

• Active IA or compact RN license required at the time of consideration,

• Minimum of 24 months of recent PICU experience required,

• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required,

• Epic EMR experience required,

• Driver's License required for consideration,

• Skills checklist specific to PICU experience required,

Additional Information

• Care for critically-ill or injured infants, children, and teens in a family-centered environment,

• Must be willing and able to float to NICU and ED patient holds as needed,

• Training includes 16 hours of orientation,

• Collaborate closely with pediatric critical care physicians and transport team,

• Work includes holiday coverage per department rotation,

• Facility enforces a 50-mile local radius rule for candidates,
