* __ __ _Prepares and evaluates outpatient charts_ _preoperatively in an efficient and caring manner, ensuring facilitation of patient readiness for the day of surgery._
__ _Conduct pre-surgical_ _work-ups_ _by calling patients and/or reviewing_ _charts of outpatients to ensure completeness, as_ _indicated_ _in_ _Nursing Guidelines_ _: Pre_ _-operative Admission Requirements._
__ _Communicate effectively and appropriately with staff, patients, families,_ _physicians_ _and other health team members._
__ _Complies with_ _OSHA/TJC and other regulatory agency recommendations and guidelines._
__ _Utilizes computer,_ _fax_ _and phone to obtain and input_ _appropriate information_ _._
__ _Discusses pre-operative instructions with patients and/or their families if completing PSA phone call._
__ _Attends mandatory meetings._
__ _Participates in departmental Performance Improvement projects._
__ _Participates in_ _maintenance of unit resource materials and orientation of new employees._ __

* Associates degree in Nursing, or higher
** Required Licensure and Certifications** **:*
* RN with license to practice in the state of Iowa
** PREFERRED*
