• Serve as a primary clinical resource for cardiology patients, providing assessment, triage, and care coordination.
• Evaluate patient symptoms and concerns via phone, patient portal, and other communication channels to determine appropriate next steps.
• Collaborate closely with cardiologists, advanced practice providers, and the care team to ensure timely, high-quality patient care.
• Coordinate diagnostic testing, procedures, referrals, and follow‑up care for patients with cardiovascular conditions.
• Educate patients and families on cardiac diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, and heart‑healthy lifestyle modifications.
• Review laboratory, imaging, and diagnostic test results and communicate provider recommendations to patients.
• Support patients managing chronic cardiovascular conditions such as heart failure, hypertension, arrhythmias, and coronary artery disease.
• Document patient interactions, assessments, and care plans accurately within the electronic health record (EHR).
• Prioritize and manage multiple patient needs in a fast‑paced specialty clinic while delivering exceptional patient-focused care.

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Iowa.
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required.
• Previous cardiology, specialty clinic, ambulatory care, critical care, telemetry, or medical‑surgical nursing experience is desirable.
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and clinical decision‑making skills.
• Excellent communication and patient education abilities.
• Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and adapt in a fast‑paced clinical environment.
• Experience with Epic a plus!
