We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Nursing (DON) to lead clinical operations and ensure the delivery of exceptional resident-centered care. The DON is responsible for overseeing nursing services, maintaining regulatory compliance, supporting staff development, and driving quality outcomes within a collaborative healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide leadership and oversight for all nursing services
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Manage staffing, scheduling, and nursing department budgets
- Oversee clinical systems, policies, and procedures
- Lead quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives
- Prepare for and participate in regulatory surveys and audits
- Monitor resident care outcomes and implement improvements
- Mentor and develop nursing leadership and staff
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and medical providers
- Address clinical concerns and ensure timely resolution
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and retention of nursing staff
- Active RN license in good standing (state-specific)
- Previous Director of Nursing or nursing leadership experience preferred
- Experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, or post-acute setting strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and survey process
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to high-quality, resident-centered care
- Full-time leadership position: 40 hours per week + on call
